Support the arts, meet new people, and contribute to unforgettable live events. Our volunteer ushers are the first faces guests see and an essential part of every performance.
Requirements
- Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to climb stairs, stand for extended periods and assist guests to their seats.
- Friendly, dependable and comfortable working with the public.
- Volunteer ushers are asked to work approximately 15 to 25 shows per year.
- Arrive 90 minutes before curtain and stay until the venue is cleared.
What Ushers Do
- Greeting and welcoming guests as they arrive
- Scanning tickets and directing guests to their seats
- Assisting guests with accessibility needs
- Answering questions about the venue and amenities
- Monitoring the house during the performance and assisting in an emergency
Dress Code
Volunteers wear a white collared shirt with black dress pants or a black skirt, black closed-toe shoes, and the usher badge provided by the venue.
